Hike #6- Bell Canyon Res.

...And probably our last hike.  We have always loved this hike, its super close to our house, its a really short hike, and its easy for the kids.  Lillie was not with us on this particular day.  she opted to join my parents at church.
So we met out hiking families at the "secert" parking spot, which just happens to be in a neighborhood of some not so friendly neighbors who thought  it was necessary to come outside and tell us to move our cars or they where going to call the cops. So we did.  This meant that we had to go the longer way and steeper way....No biggie, whatever, we good do it.  My legs where feeling the burn in about the first two minutes of the hike.  We finally came to the bridge and thought it would be the perfect place for a little rest...until poor little Reed got stung by a bee on his finger and on his back, then I got stung on my wrist and then Cameron got stung on in his head, they tryed to get Easton, but we where all quick to get that one off of her.  We then pretty much ran the rest of the way up the trail.  We had talked to some other people that came up behind us and asked them if they ran into the bee's and sure enough, some of them get stung too. Stupid bee's, as Cameron said!

At least the ducks where happy to see us.

And the kids did have fun playing in the water.

We enjoyed sitting in the sun

I scrapbooked

.....I finally sat down and scrapbooked, its been fo-ever since I have scrapbooked.  You wanna know why??  It's so silly.....but I will share.  The local scrapbook store, Roberts closed that was like two minutes away from my house.  We have more Roberts that are 10 minutes away from my house, but this one was really two minutes from my house.  So I could pull out my pictures that I wanted to scrapbook and then go to Roberts and get some paper and be home in a jiffy, now I feel like I have to plan my day to go to the other Roberts.  AND really, its only probably 10 or 15 minutes from my house, I know, I'm kinda a baby.  We do have another scrapbook store that is close to my house, but I'm not going to tell you the name because I really hate going to that store, its just a big cluster in there...that is really mean of me to say, but I went there the other day to get some paper and to give it another chance, but again, I left the store hating it.   Ok, enough of my complaining..... Just look at Lillie..

I just love Lillie and they way she loves to pose when I get my camera out.

She is turning 3 in a couple of weeks and it makes me sad that she is my last baby.
She cracks me up everyday, we get to spend the days together while Lillie is in school, and seriously she can make you laugh like no other....

We got Easton's bed all put together and in her room.... and its huge, the bed is a full, I thought it was a twin...oh well!  I decided that I would let the girls have a sleep over together in it.

They are just pretending to be asleep.

They loved sleeping together!  And cant wait to do it again!

Why Easton needs a "big girl" bed

Easton is my last baby so I was in no hurry putting her in a "big girl" bed.
But for the past, lets say, 6  months this is how she gets in and out of her crib.

Lets starting with getting in...

check out the barbie in the picture below! I laugh every time I see it!!

Now lets get out...

oh Easton, you make me laugh everyday!

ask we speak

Right this very minute my favorite handy man is working on this....
Do you remember when I bought this bed for Easton?

...well, we are just now getting around to finishing, or starting it really.

It didn't come with rails and I don't have mattress for it, but hopefully by tomorrow I will have rails and mattress.
..and when that is done, this is what her bedding is going to look like,

I cant remember what blog its from.  (so if this is your picture, I love it!!)
I have been saving the picture so that my wonderful, most, beautiful, mother can make the bedding.
The colors will be different, I love the pillows and all the ruffles on the bedspread!!

Hike #5- Scout Falls & Sundance

Maybe this blog should be about hiking during the summer and not so much about crafting.
I know I say this about every hike, but this one was really pretty.....It had a lot of water falls along the trail and on some parts of the trail you felt like you where in the milk section at Costco or in a tropical rain forest.

Once we made it to the falls, it was a little chilly.

After our hike we drove over to Sundance to get ice cream and they had the biggest smore' dessert that I have ever seen.  We didn't buy one, but they let us have a sample (sorry Marci, you where outside)

It was a pretty good day!
